Methodology
Sources (all free, no API keys)
- CoinGecko public API (keyless): memecoin universe (category “Meme”, top 1,000), market cap, price, 1h/24h/7d change, 7-day sparkline, ATH, categories, contract addresses.
- DexScreener: DEX pools, liquidity, DEX volume, transactions, socials, boosts (paid promotion, labelled).
- GeckoTerminal: trending and new pools, holders and distribution, Solana mint/freeze authority, OHLCV charts.
- Safety scan: Solana RPC (publicnode), RugCheck, GoPlus, honeypot.is, Jupiter, and an on-chain buy/sell
eth_callthrough the forked honeyCheck contract. - Blockchains forks: token-list (Solana Labs registry), assets (Trust Wallet), phishing (Polkadot deny-list, 54,863 domains).
Refresh
GitHub Actions rebuilds the site every 30 minutes. Holder data, full pool lists and safety scans are refreshed on a rolling basis (holders/scans every 24h, pools every 6h, biggest tokens first) to stay inside free rate limits. Prices on the page are refreshed live from DexScreener while you browse.
Ranking rules
- Market cap: CoinGecko market cap; DEX-only tokens use DexScreener market cap and need ≥ $10K liquidity.
- Gainers/losers: ≥ $50K 24h volume and ≥ $25K DEX liquidity (native coins: ≥ $1M market cap); unlisted tokens must be older than 36h.
- Sanity filter: a market cap is not ranked when both 24h volume and liquidity are below 0.01% of it (usually a bad supply figure).
- Not memecoins: DEX-discovered tokens that CoinGecko lists outside its meme categories are excluded.
- Trending: GeckoTerminal trending pools (organic), ≥ $5K liquidity. DexScreener boosts are shown separately as paid.
- New pairs: pools created in the last 72h with ≥ $1K liquidity.
- Tokens not seen for 14 days are removed. Tokens with under $10K liquidity and no CoinGecko listing get a page but are not indexed by search engines.
Safety verdicts (policy-v1.1)
CLEAR: every hard check measured and passed. DESK_PASS: no measured hard fail, some hard checks unmeasured, liquidity ≥ $150. INCOMPLETE: not enough evidence. FAIL: at least one measured hard fail (e.g. live mint/freeze authority, honeypot, tax > 10%, top-10 holders > 80%, liquidity < $150, no sell route). A pass is not a buy.
